Legacy photos are in the mail

As I write this, a packet of old, Hannibal-based photos is en route from Idaho to my front door. Communications started with a man who has Hannibal ties following the July posting of the Fritz/Curts family history on this site, in connection with the Smith Funeral Home lineage.

Since my initial conversation with Del Anderson in Idaho, I have compiled a collection of "golden nuggets" - what I call fantastic bits of information - that will make for very interesting reading in the days and weeks to come. His photos will give life to these stories.

Each of these "golden nuggets" is a puzzle piece to the bigger picture of our community's past.
